The car lives just a few miles away from me. I have the # of the guy to go see it but I'm not really in a position to buy it so I didn't call. I didn't want to waste the guys time. I've lived here about 14 years and I've never seen it around. If some wants some info I'd be willing to go check it out for them. I've just gotten in touch with a few other Pantera buddies so maybe we could make a field trip and see it. It reminds me of the GTS that was for sale on our site a few months ago where the family wanted a lot more than the car was probably worth. Since I'm not buying the car, I don't want to be the one to tell the guy he might be a tad high on price. Maybe he'll relist and someone wuill hit the Buy it now buton. Didn't that Agro car go for big dough-re-me? Vince
Vince I think this may be Steve Wilkinson's car If not it it sure looks like it and if it is 65k (the
opening bid price) is not too far off + OR- ? I would like to see it do the Buy it now for 95
Agro car was a re body to 5s and the rumor is it sold for 90? So the car really is in Illinois!
Thanks for the info I'm just curious. If you do go Please post the results I know others
would like to know also Thanks! Smiler

Yaaa.. but isn't a Hall rebodied -5S car better than anything the factory could put together? sans originality, which really does'nt mean too much in Panteras.

This really is a nice car though ... with the 4.6L engine and the modified interior. Worth every cent the owner is asking IMO.

No I don't think so Hall and all the others that sell parts would have you think that.Including
but not limited to all the people that have built a
GT5S from a standard car .....Silk purse out of a Pigs ear
comes to mind Litho let's see Copy! Just to mention a few... Im not saying It can't be done and
even look good but Better Naaaa by the time you drop the floor do the interior in leather re do
the rear bearings, wheels/tires and all the other stuff you are gonna have a better car then a
Factory built car....No! can you get into the project for less then half the price of a real factory
GT5S yes! and then piece meal it along till it looks like what you should have bought in the first
place Sure but why?.... also glad to see your still here Kevin I recently heard from my friends in
Key West and they are VERY THANKFUL the storm passed them UP!
Hi Robert,
I guess .. on this subject .. there's as many differing opinions as there are deTomaso models.

I remember seeing Agro's car once and compared it to a factory -5S, and honestly..I would go with the Hall rebuild. Hands down..IMO.

Something about AMERICAN ingenuity vastly improving on an already great product from deTomaso.

Yaa, the storm went by us..thank GOD no major damage. Take care.
We can agree to disagree and that's the way it should be this topic came up once before and
had to be closed down because bad language. I have a Gr4 re body steel fender car but i never
though of it as being better because the fenders are part of the body and not added on
fiberglass it's just Improved to my taste? also stop by the Coffee Plantation and say Hi to Taho
and Diane they are good people. take care... Rob....
