Chris & everyone,

The 408 Clevor motor in the article beginning on page 236 of the April 2006 edition of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords magazine has no coolant outlet. That engine is not capable of operating. The article is a scam. At best, the torque & bhp numbers they report are desk top dyno numbers, not real dyno numbers.

None of the pictures show the engine hooked to any of the normal maze of wires & plumbing; i.e. fuel supply, coolant, exhaust, electrical, sensors. They just sat that engine on the dyno & snapped some pics. They didn't even try to make it look legitimate.

CHI sells a water outlet for Windsor applications that bolts to the top bolts of the water pump and requires a hose nipple screwed into the front of each cylinder head. To screw these nipples into the head requires a hole drilled & tapped into the front of each head. The heads in the magazine article do not have these holes.

The CHI accessory water outlet for Windsor blocks is shown in the picture below.

George I have to say your right again my man !! LOL

I'll tell you why... on ebay I noticed something... 351C heads with 1/2 ips or flair adapters welded to the front of the heads. I never seen this before but was afraid to ask a stupid question. I just was not some thing I ever seen before.

I have to say .. I gain more respect for you every day ... real brave but homorable to state that its a scam but true in every sence of the word and real imbaressing for a major magazine.

Thanks again for your sharp eye.
