Dennis,

I mentioned these guys to you in a previous post, they are selling the Australian 302C heads (closed chamber 2V iron heads), prepped & ready to bolt on for about a grand, and ported for another $500. I highly recommend the porting. That's $1500. For about $300 more, you can purchase a set of AFD or CHI 2V heads, which flow even better and look "cool".

Nah, no such thing as a bad Cleveland head, go for it! I think you just need to decide which direction you are headed with the motor, and build on that plan, so as to avoid having to duplicate purchases of major parts any more than you have to. By that I mean, do you want to eventually run 2V or 4V size heads, etc.

For the price of the 2V heads from Power Heads, you should be able to pick up a set of 4V heads with the right valves etc, also ready to bolt on. If you did so, you could keep your present Blue Thunder intake, saving even more money.

If it helps, I think for the type of motor you decribed a couple of weeks ago, i.e. a strong "street" runner with standard displacement; the 2V heads, Edelbrock Air Gap & Comp XE cam sound like a sweet combination of parts.
