We Finnish Pantera owners know this very well, because that band "Hanoi Rocks" was from Finland, and it was our biggest rock´n´roll success and pride of the 80´s. Razzle, the drummer got killed, and other band members just did not have that same good feeling after that. They still did few more shows, but quite soon after the accident they stopped playing together.
I remember this story as well. I have always loved Motley Crue, I should check out Hanoi Rocks.
Apparently not too long ago, Vince Neal was pulled over in a Murcielago for driving under the influence. If killing your friend from drunk driving wasn't a big enough wake up call, I don't know what is.
If checking out Hanoi Rocks, stick to the music they made in the 80´s. They made a comeback at the end of the 90´s (without Razzle, and without any significant international success) but that just does not sound as good. It´s quite propable you have not heard so much about Hanoi Rocks, as this accident happened already during their first (and only) US tour. Also Axl Rose has mentioned Hanoi Rocks for several times as one of their early sources of inspiration.
