I'm going the GT-5 route. Going intpo the shop soon. Probably end of March. I'll take plenty pictures for you.
Thanks for the heads up on the tires. I'm going for Michelin Pilot sports front and rear from Tire Rack. Rears 335x30x18 I think are $375 each plus about $45 shipping...not bad. Fronts will be 255x35x18 around $278 each plus $40 shipping. Great prices on shipping from tire rack. Especially to Hawaii.Big Grin
Emery, the wheels look awesome man! I ordered FX's also, sizes 17x11 and 17x8. Haven't received them yet, though Frowner

Has anybody else out there received their wheels yet?

When I spoke with Daryle the last time (which was over 1 week ago) he had said all the wheels were done and packaged up, just waiting to ship them out??

I wonder where the rest are?
Typical, the shipprs can get them to Hawaii quicker than they can truck them down the road.

I don't mind too much if mine don't come too soon as I'm still saving my pennies to order the GT4 flares to go with them: I went for the STX's in 18x13 and 17x10.....and on top of that there's the $1300 for tires, it's just never ending expense in the pursuit of true happiness Roll Eyes

I got a used set for the front($199) and a new set of rears 335x30x18 from Ebay. New rears were $674 including shipping. Would of been $804 at TireRack.
Call him for a price if you are still looking.

Hey Mike,

They look great, are they the STX? Thats what I went for, can't wait for mine to arrive now. I understand what Daryle was on about now with shipping them all out together as once one gets em' we all wants em' Smiler

The 'Michelin Man' is gonna get even fatter with all them tires needed, we should have thought sooner and gone for a group tire buy as well.

Hi Guys,

Sorry about the valve stems. I think that my assemblers just plain forgot to check. Almost every wheel we ship uses rubber so it becomes a habit. I have a bunch of chrome ones here for you all. I will check to see why you didnt get them. If it was just missed I will send some out to you asap. Bye for now.

Daryle
Thanks Daryle! Big Grin

My Kodiaks arrived today Big Grin

Beautiful wheels!

One thing has me quite worried, though. Have any of you guys who purchased the wheels noticed on the paperwork from Kodiak it says:
"Racing use only" and "off-road use only" ??

Does this mean that these wheels are not legal and/or safe to run on the street?

My P is a weekend cruiser only. It will never see a race track.

I know Jim (Coz) has these wheels on his GT5 and that is a daily driver. He hasn't had any problems with them (that I know of).

What do you guys think?

Adam
It is a dis-claimer since they are not US-DOT certified. The expense involved for the certification is rediculious. So Daryle has chosen not to do it. I agree with his decision no to.

Nothing to worry about. I have had my wheels on my car for almost a year. Been on the road at least 12,000 miles now, and track, nothing has happened. They are as perfect as the day I got them.

That is the least of your worries Adam....
My car is actually 2 hrs away from me right now. It has been at Les Grays shop (Vehicle Performance Center) for 2 months now getting a bunch of work done. I drove the wheels up to him and he is going to mount and fully align everything for me.

I should have the car back in 4-6 weeks. Big Grin

I will definitely post pics when she is home.
