Here is my situation: the car that i'm looking to purchase has a clutch problem. The pedal goes to the floor , no engagement. In addition, the clutch has been replaced with a centerforce pressure plate, new springs etc. What would be the course of action to correct the problem. Is it the clutch cable, cylinder both? need help
thanks, wayne

If the slave cylinder at the back does not move when you push on the pedal then it's probably a hydraulic problem.
Start with the clutch master, loosen off the output connector and see if fluid squirts out when an assistant pushes the pedal gently. Be very careful not to get fluid in your eye or on the paintwork (put a rag over the joint), don't forget to retighten the joint. If fluid won't pump out then the master cylinder is faulty (or empty!). It will probably be just a faulty rubber seal, even so the easiest thing is probably to replace the whole master cylinder especially if you are near to one of the US Pantera specialists.
If fluid does pump out it may mean that there is just some air in the pipe between master and slave cylinder - this is an easy fix.
(Sorry, can't stay any longer today - I'm on-line at work and have to go home. The rest of guys are pretty helpful).
Doesn't sound like an expensive problem, good luck.
If the clutch arm moves a good bit, then you might have to take the arm off the clutch fork and move it a notch or two forward. My clutch would not work right until I did that after replacing the clutch. Of course my car was apart when I got it, so I assumed that no one moved it before. I even took the transaxle back out and made sure the throw out bearing was the same thickness. I put a longthrow slave unit which did help some. wher is the car located, maybe someone could look at it?
