Time for my annual fluid changes. I have used Castrol GT LMA for years in the clutch fluid system.

This year the Castrol container says” New formula” and” Synthetic “. I do not have any of the old product. Was it also synthetic? I am concerned about mixing fluid types and how that may affect the master/slave seals.

Damn funny you say this. I have been using Castrol dot 3-4 for years, went looking for some when I was doing my slave a few weeks ago, and shelves bare at all auto stores. In fact, I could not find any dot 4 of any brand, so went with dot 3. Yes there is all this synthetic stuff all over the shelves though. In my particular break system I was told never to use synthetic, I can't recall why though.
