Congrats on the new garage, it's a great feeling.

Congrats, nice garage. I had a 2-car carport and closed it in just so I would have a place for the Pantera. Now it is a 2-car garage, and I want to add on next to it another bay for a hoist.

Next year's project is a 40' x 60' pole barn (yeah baby, now we're talkin'!!). I'm buying another 1/2 acre next to my house this fall & construction should start sometime in the spring (hopefully!). Once I get it set up, maybe we could have a tech session for my Northeastern brethren?
I wasn't originally planning on making it that big, but after talking with so many people who have built them, everyone of them wishes that they'd built it bigger. I'd like to make one stall into a paint booth, has anyone built one?

Pole barns are great! I had one built before we built the house. Go AS BIG AS YOU CAN! I raised a bunch of walls and have a bunch of rooms to do different things. All electrical outlets are shoulder height.

WOW! Looks Great!

The barn is 40x88. It was $28K built with 5" re-inforced concrete. I built walls and a drop ceiling inside. I divided it into 4 work rooms, a tracktor/storage room, a small bedroom and a bathroom. We actually lived in it for 2 months while they finished the house. Best thing I ever did!

I had another room for lath, mill, and general saws, sanders, etc. I got married and my wife turned it into a ceramic workshop. That was a good thing though.
