New headers

Halls big bore are the best deal you are going to get price wise. Many people have commented that they like them. I haven't heard any complaints.
Look out for the header bolts if they have never been off.
They were made just for the Pantera. The heads are metric and the threads are SAE (american).
If you change your exhausts too, don't be shocked that they don't fit correctly. One side needs to be bent or dimpled a little to clear the axle.
Pantera East has full stainless exhaust systems listed in thier catalog. They ain't cheap.

I have been advised by a trustworthy source that Pat Mical's headers are decently designed. I would suggest you give them a good look.

I've never had them off and I didn't know that.
If you have to kink or bend them, it wouldn't make any sense to buy them coated would it?

Doug,coudn't you still use regular Cleveland header bolts that are American.

Certainly you can. When you go to remove the original ones they could be difficult to remove because they are a bit rusty. It is best to be forewarned that the head is metric.
You may only have one shot at getting them loose. If you put the wrong size socket on them you might strip them because they are rusty.
Putting new all SAE header bolts in would be the suggestion.

Yup. I learned this one the hard way. I was helping a friend drop his Boss 351 in. First we had to get the original engine out.
I think the heads turned out to be 11mm, I forget now. They were rusty and I wound up having to grind out a few that I stripped the heads off.

I talked to Pat about headers and wound up talking about just about everything re: the Pantera scene. He has some pretty strong takes on things. Quite a guy to talk to.

I have a set of Pats headers on my GT5S, Im not sure but I believe that he is the only one that makes them with a 3" collector, which means if you want the full benefit of them you will need to get a custom exhaust made with 3" pipework too, as I did. Headers are excellent, ceramic coated and Pat is a top guy, very opinionated, but does sterling work.

Pat also sells the exhaust piping to the muffler. St up for an ANSA type muffler.

I also had a set of Pat's headers on my car when I had the NASCAR engine in it .
They were absolutely the best Pantera specific part I have ever bought!!!!!!

I'll throw in my two cents about Pat also....

I just had Pat make up some headers for me last winter. They are great! He even included mounts for oxygen sensors for possible future EFI use. I had him ceramic coat them and the Ansa mufflers all the way to my chrome tips. Pat is a blast to talk to and will always have an opinion on everything about your car. He'll also work with you to make sure everything is just the way you want it.
