Bill is amazing.
I can't help but assume this is the after affect of the buttery nipples, I told you guys they enhance human performance.
Unfortunately, I appear to be immune to their effect! lol...............
Or maybe I just need to consume more, yeah that's it, I need to consume more!

Well, looks like I have 4 days to spare!.That should give me plenty time to repaint the hood..There are a couple of fish eyes where the paint is too thin to buff. No big deal, belive it or not I have had to repaint before. I hope you all appreciate my hosenty, I make mistakes like everybody. I just don't let them hold me back. I took what I learned from the hood and applied it to the body of the car. 1. Make sure there is enough paint to buff. 2. clean the crap out of the booth. 3. clean the car welll too, plus I grounded it with a wire attached to bare metal and a natural gas line. I hope you all enjoyed this as much as I have. Now it's time to detail some of the parts that go back on. I'll keep posting, Maybe under another topic. CIAO!
lpb,
Definitely a great album! I feel like I was along on the journey with you.

Congratulations Bill!
Great job. I like the pic with your wife & the car and your comment.
Hey everybody, you would pay $25 or more at a book store for a "How To" book on painting your auto, this was free! And you can add a post and ask the author any questions you may have.
I think what Bill has done is excellent, I'd like to see more step by step picture albums on the bulletin board, how about you?
Thanks LPB!

Awesome job LPB. I wish I knew what you knew. I'll keep ignoring all the defects on my car for another few years until I get the balls to try what you did. Thanks for sharing the experience.

Thanks, I went for a drive today. The car sounds different with the seals out of the door jambs. I am waiting for my carpet kit and gts spoiler to arrive. Then I can put the seats back, and door seals.
Thanks Bill! This was one of the most interesting and most informative posts I've seen here. Thanks for taking the time to update us on your progress and give us a "how to" example to follow.
What urethane product did you use for your paintjob? PPG Concept? Just curious.
Thanks,
Garth

I was afraid this post was lost when I got my new IP adress. mmmm what's next?
This could of been a five day repaint if it wasn't so well documented. Has to be one of the best post of all time. Bill maybe its time to add the group 4 fenders.
