This article, poorly translated from Reuters Italia, suggests this is just the confirmation of the IAI deal from Rossignolo:

TURIN (Reuters) - the new supercar that Gian Mario Rossignolo costruira' in the former plant Pininfarina di Grugliasco (Turin) will have the brand De Tomaso.

It has announced today with famous a Turinese entrepreneur, president of the De Tomaso Automobiles, the new denomination that takes the place of the Iai that had developed the plan.

Rossignolo - very famous from we for being be in passed also to you concern us of Electrolux and Telecom Italia - has already anticipated to preview the presentation of the first model to the Hall of the Car of Geneva of 2011.

The production to regime is previewed in 8.000 cars uniforms in 3.000 crossover, 3,000 limousine and 2,000 coupe'.

The total investment is of 116 million in next the 4 years, says the famous one.
Hey in French they say: 'Speak in good or bad of someone (in this case the Marque) but keep the buzz going'

Lot's of speculation. The crazy thing is there a fewer and fewer true journalists. Companies fees packets that are all scripted, it's now all cut and paste. So many so called car journalists are not of the old school and have forgotten how to do their research. Should the new Company relaunch a sports car, it would be good for events for us owners. Dave,

As you no doubt know, Steve W. has been working with Santiago DeTomaso on many reproduction parts.

My guess is, as Santiago is as close to any existing De Tomaso 'factory' as is currently possible, parts that come onto the market through Steve's and Santiago's efforts would/could be called "Factory Parts".

Perhaps a bit of a stretch, no doubt. But that is my 2¢ on this issue.
