Joel,
Somewhere in a previous post an qwner put Corvette seats in his P ca. I read the article and although the result appeared satisfactory it seem like a lot of fabricating and fitting went into the job.. A good upholstery person can modify you existing seats . It all depends what you are trying to accomplish. A Pantera seat, IMHO, will never win a plaque from the Orthopaedic Doctor's association.
I tried seats from a mazda miata and a pontiac fiero. either would have worked fine if I had the lowered floor pan kits the vendors sell. Both are too tall for stock floor pans. I wound up buying a pair of stock seats and having them reupholstered. Sorry I couldn't help with what will fit but I can eliminate some that won't.
I have seats from a Miata. They are bolted directly to the floor. I am 6' tall, and I just fit. I had to trim some of the metal pan from the bottom of the seat to make them sit level on the floor, and fabricate some mounting brackets. I also moved the drivers seat to the right a bit to get it more in line with the steering wheel and pedals.
