Time to get a new wheel for the car. Our local shop does not stock the Pantera wheels !!
Any idea what boss is required for the Pantera steering colum ?
Or is is ford spline ? or another ?
That way I can sort that and go from there.
My current wheel is aftermarket, but has more than the std 6 bolts, seems to be a larger PCD as well.
Any suggestions ?
thanks

Ford Capri column, ignition lock, turn signal stalk and steering wheel.

Circa 1971.

De Tomaso took the German Capri unit, cut and removed a section, and welded it back together.

On each Pantera. If you remove your entire assembly, or perhaps just crawl under the dash and search, you will find the weld point.

All the vendors, of course, can provide wheels that fit...perhaps an easier method than ordering and hoping they will fit.

Typical choices with readily available hubs are Momo and LeCarra, once you have the chosen hub then any of that manufacturers wheels should fit.

Personally I think Momo has a good modern selection if you want an updated look. If you are in the process of upgrading consider a removable wheel too.

Agreed. The LeCarra hubs are about $60 so don't let that drive your decision as most of the LeCarra wheels are retro style. Besides, one man's junk is another man's treasure and someone will want your old hub and wheel.

I have that wheel on my '74 with a quick release. Not only does it look good, I like the grip and feel. If you want to go ultra modern Momo do a similar wheel with a squared off bottom.

Like many I don’t care much for the stock Pantera wheel and was very pleased that someone replaced the stock wheel in my Pantera with a 13” LeCarra in the 80s. In my opinion I think the LeCarra wheel really fits the look of the Pantera’s sparse business like interior and at 6.6+ it is a necessity for clearance for my leg on the console.

I have the LeCarra in mine, ans yes it is nice, but times change !!and it will not suit the new interior.
The Momo Race is nice as well, and could be a goer.I did see once a Momo wheel that had a covered horn pad ( no visable screws) I think I may like that as well.
The quick release hub ?? is that a pure hub that suits the pantera shaft ? and your wheel ? if so where did you get it from ?
Seeing lots of wheels I like, but not finding hubs to fit them Frowner
My hub is the 9 bolt hole type.
Thanks
Summit Racing offer a selection of LeCarra wheels, for the full prodeuct line see www.lecarra.com/

Momo USA is a good place to start for a visible selection of their wheels and they have a dealer locator.

Once you decide what you want we can help from this end to figure out who's got it in stock and the best way to purchase and get it to you.
