Where do guys put or where is the recommended placement of the bottle for a nitrous oxide system on a Pantera?

I think the nitrous mfgrs reccommend as short lines as possible from bottle to engine, to minimize losses of nitrous in the form of vapor. So that would mean in the rear trunk. There's also more room for bottles there. And thats mostly where I've seen them, although there are a couple of cars running small bottles up front.
What's the real story on NOS. I read a Holley ad that said a moderate NOS system does not increase the stress on engine parts. I don't quite understand how you can get 100 more HP and not increase the stress on crank, rods and pistons, unless the extra power comes farther into the power stroke?

think of it as a low psi supercharger, but fuel psi is critical!
