I have in my original Veglia Speedometer a ticking noise sometimes the pointer is also vibrating up and down very little. maybe some body had a similar thing as well and knows how to fix.

I searched the forum found it 
Bet it was a lubrication issue.
I cleaned and greased the total cable but still makes a noise when I move the cable while I drive the noise goes away lets see how it develops.
Noise comes from the moving cable rubbing clear through the plastic liner in the jacket after a number of miles. This seems to come from people making tight, tidy cable routing rather than large sweeping bends. No fix possible except to replace the entire cable/jacket assembly, and use large radius bends.
