North Eastern ZF Rep

I stumbled across a company near my house that is a ZF Rep. I figured it would be nice to be able to drop my transmittion off and pick it up and speak face to face with the guys there. I went there for a bearing for the rack and pinion and seen piles of ZF's and figured why not give it a shot. They said they would rebuild the one for the PANTERA. I just figured it would be easier rather then ship it from NY to Cali. I guess the only thing I may have to do is tell them specifically what Hi performance upgrades I want to do. Is there anything additonal to saftey wiring the ring gear.

They said they have done them before and they know the parts are expensive and take time to get. They dont stock the parts. But they did say they have done them before but its not a common transmition .... as he pointed to about 2-300 ZF styles transmittions behind him. They have a pretty impresive and extensive operation. I'm going to give it a shot tomorrow I drop it off to them and we will see.
