I regret to inform DeTomaso enthusiasts that Dennis Dodd has passed away at age 60 due to cancer. He died on January 31, 2003 and was buried this past Friday. Dennis and his wife Peggy owned the Old Barn restaurant in Gold Hill, Oregon. Dennis used to live in Orange County, California. He was one of the founding members of Team Pantera Orange County. Most folks will remember his extreme, Purple Pantera. This 10 second, winged warrior was powered by a 427 side oiler and was one of the most powerful Panteras of its day. The car resides now in the Marconi Auto Museum in Orange County. He was a terrific gentleman and one of the most happy go lucky people you would ever want to meet. He was a greet supporter of TPOC events and a fierce competitor on the drag strip when we used to stage Pantera drags. He was one in a million and will be truly missed. Paige, Linda and Dave Adler

No, I believe that is another car. This one had 180 degree headers that exited below the license plate with huge SuperTrapp mufflers.

It also sad to note that another Pantera enthusiast, Tony Harvey of Northern California was killed in an automobile collision in January. He was not driving his impressive yellow Pantera. We mourn his loss as well.

I have video of Dodd's car that now resides in Marconi, which I took a couple years ago. I will see if I can scavenge a photo off of the video clip when I get a chance. Or maybe someone that went to the party in December at Marconi took a photo?
