OEM Ford Valves

Looks like my engine several years ago after a session on our local roadcourse except my valve head was sticking up perpendicular out of the top of the piston instead of lodged in it. Sure wish I'd known it still had the original valves in it when I bought it!

George what is the distance center to center on the cylinders again? Was it four and a half inches or was it four and three eights????

TWO SETS!!!!

You would of think I would of learned.

Actually time two was because of a tight valve guide and the valve stuck hitting the piston, not a stock valve.

When I bought my 74 Pantera, I got some spare parts with it. Including a pair of newly redone DOAE 2 closed chambered heads. Not to long ago I took a closer look at what kind of valves where used in the rebuilding of those heads. Yep, they stuck those old 2 piece valves right back in. Needless to say....I will be getting rid of them before the closed chambered heads go on!
