I install the new oil pan I bought from PI today. It all went well except the oil pan was hitting the rear main caps and not letting the pan bolt holes line up with the block bolt holes. This is probably due to the fact I have an after market Dart block with four bolt main caps that are probably larger than the factory main caps

Glad you enjoyed it! I know I like to see other peoples projects like the one coz did with the trans and lastpushbuttons paint project.

The oil pan project was pretty simple but I thought others might like to see the internal workings of the road race style pan.

Also this post points out that even the simplest project can lead to unexpected problems. See my hammer modification and as roverltd pointed out spin the motor by hand to make sure there is no interference.

Simple projects can produce unexpected problems that have to be dealt with.

Nothing new from the last picture of engine bay. Hoping to pull engine and get that part finished. If I get the motor out and the compartment stripped do you think I can find a painter to finish before the Vegas event in May
