original paint or base coat clear coat

I need some people opinions: is it better to go with the original style of paint form the 70's or use a base coat clear coat method of today? my caar is metalic bronze and I am thinking of resale vale.

I would definitely paint the car with a base/clear or single stage poly. I noticed you were concerned about the color... Paint the car the color you want so you will enjoy the car for yourself. Good Luck!
