Hi George.
Thank you for your comments. They are number 8 and 9 since 1979 and the best De Tomaso cars we ever had. We like both cars very much, but they are so different and not to compare.
The Pantera is a perfect sports car for long distances. It is comfortable, quiet inside and you have space enough for your luggage, even with the roof open. You can make 180 km/h (113mph) in 6th gear with only 3000 rpm!!!!
The Guara is much more a street legal race car than a sports car. Loud inside and absolutely no space for the luggage in front and rear.
Performance, roadholding and especially cornering is unbelievable. The perfect car to have fun on secondary roads or during a track day.

I like the relief cut into the front hood too.

And the roof is blue inside, because the owner will see always a blue sky, even with the roof closed.
This car has also a complete different dashboard. The molds were destroyed when the work was done, so he has the one and only car with this design.
