Well we got 3 delegates of the Canadian DeTomaso Club showed-up (oops 1 didn't bring his car but was ready willing and able to educate the uneducated- Thanks Bohdan) for the 2009 Ottawa Italian Car parade. Great fun, the Ferrari Club prefered a static display, still a few did cruze the 3 laps of Little Italy. Great response to both cars from the Alfa Club and the Fiat Club plus many others.

Well, actually, PART of Bohdan's car was there which was the only reason mine COULD be there — his steering column is in my car until I finish repairing my car. It was fun walking around and talking to people and answering questions. I was surprised how many times I heard people correctly identify the Mangusta.

It was even more fun later when we left and went from the "Italian" car section and drove over and parked in front of where the Ferraris were all roped off in the special "Ferrari Corral". We got lots of attention there as well. Hardly any F-car owners were talking to the public, unlike over in the "Italian" section.

Somebody had to take the lead. Wink

Interestingly, on tonight's local news coverage of the Italian car events, the car that got the MOST exposure was the Mangusta then a black Countach and then some white Pantera. Not a single Ferrari made the cut, but then they were showing the cars actually on the road driving around, not sitting in a parking lot with rope around them... Big Grin
