The centerforce clutch will work just fine, and also lighten the clutch pedal effort considerably. The reason some don't recommend it is because there are several clutches available. 5.0 Mustangs use a 10-1/2" dia clutch; while this works on the 351C, it means the flywheel must be redrilled (or a new $250 flywheel purchased) since the stock size was 11" dia. The 11" Pantera Centerforce is p/n DF-021048-S and it bolts on you present flywheel. I recommend ALWAYS replacing the throwout bearing, since its fairly cheap and is a true hassle to change when, 6 months down the road, it starts squealing from the extra load of the new clutch. I also always replace the pilot bushing in the end of the crank, for the same reasons.
