Does anybody know of a standard ford clutch that might work in place of a Pantera specific clutch. Best price for clutch set is $347.00, I think it would be half that for any other american clutch set?
I know I will get flamed for this but I have been running a NAPA rebuilt clutch disc and pressure plate for the past 25K miles. Throwout bearing was also sourced from NAPA. Total cost was $126.00
I have only one piece of advise ... unless you like pulling the trans in your car..... purchase only a new set up ... not rebuit .... I have had a lot of experience over the years and chnaged a lot of rebuild stuff back to new FORD or NEW aftermarket racing stuff.
I think I found one that might work, it's a clutch set for a Boss 351 Mustang, same year. the three fingers are flush with the face, does anyone have a type one pressure plate that can verify this? Thanks!
