pantera crate motor

I have recently found a gentleman who claims to have a 351c pantera motor (complete) in the factory crate. He says it has carb,dist, sheetmetal, flywheel and clutch all new, never installed. Does anyone know if this was available? If so how does one identify the authenticity of the motor? And last of all what would be the value, if this is the real thing?

I met a guy in Las Vegas during the POCA Convention. Claims to have a crate 351C in original shipping crate and unused selling for $1000. He was in Vegas and motor was in Michigan. No photos or willingness to have item shown in Michigan. Buyer Beware.
