I originally posted this (about a Pantera needed for a photo shoot)

in early Jan. Yesterday I got a link to a new Pantera music video. It's fantastic, best I've ever seen. So I wondered, did Warren Fu do that. You can't tell from the YouTube video who the director was. So I went to Warren's website:
http://vimeo.com/user1016135
http://vimeo.com/36460944 (Direct link to the video)

Sure enough, Fu is The Man! If you haven't seen it, it's a must see. Be sure to run it full screen. The best 4 minutes you'll spend this week!

The question is, who's car is that. I've contacted Warren to try and find out.

Yeah, I really liked that video, nice one!
Inspiring.
Curious as I am, I searched ProvaMo for CA silver cars, found this one: #3745

Could be it, especially since it also has what I would say is longer than usual exhaust tips.
Looks great!

Thats probably the car. I have the 1999 appraisal paperwork when it was for sale in 2003. Here is a shot when it was at Huntington Beach years ago, of course now with gr 4 tail lights, gr 4 wheels, wing etc. It later got PI plates from the other owner.

Yea, I was thinking the same thing, what do I have to do to get my hands on a set of gauges like that

You might want to talk to the special effects department. I'm pretty sure Veglia doesn't offer a high tech speedometer like that, especially since they can't even make one that simply lights up!

I just heard back from Warren Fu, and yes, #3745 was the car. The fact that they were able to get a Pantera (a Jag xj220 was lined up after they were unable to get a Pantera on short notice) was, really, a miracle. I sent him a couple of shots of #3745 from the registry for him to confirm. Read on:

Warren,
What and amazing story! I'll post it to the Pantera forums if that's OK. It would be great if the owner doesn't mind going public, but we respect his privacy if he doesn't want to. It would be posted to the closed Pantera forums, but there is no guarantee the information would stay there. One of our tribe went to the DeTomaso registry and found #3745 below. This has to be the car. Registry entry's are kept anonymous out of respect for privacy.

In any event, thanks again for the great video. This is probably the best publicity the Pantera has gotten in many years.

The guy I was dealing with back in 2003/2004 regarding the car was Chris Cox, so I suppose that may be the owner.

Haha I loved the Pantera (band) version! WAY better than the original, in my opinion.

The car in that video is sexy as hell. I saw the picture posted earlier of the car, anyone know the whereabouts of this car?

Chris

The car is owned by Chris Cox and is in Southern California. The picture of it on page 2 of this thread, was at the Consorso Italiano. It is also in Chuck's registry (vin 3745) with some more photos. I just found the video at Nero's website. It is the highest definition one I've seen, about 3x bigger file size than the YouTube version. Here's the link.

If you get a screen with a choice of US or Rest of the World, choose Rest of the world.

Be sure to watch it full screen, sound up full! You can download it by right clicking on the video.
