Unfortunately, no Panteras!

But since we had two Pantera OWNERS, I figured I would post up some pictures anyway.

We had a great day, covered a lot of ground, and had nice food and wine. Also saw some SUPER cars while we were out.

Here's the crew - there was also another early model FIAT Spider with us...

Here's a link to all the pictures....

I know you all are dying to know, so here are the members and the vehicles that participated....

  • Chuck - No Pantera Frowner
  • Jack & Ruth - Pantera Owners '95 MB E320 Cabriolet
  • Dave K - '82 Fiat 2000 (Fiat 124)
  • Stephen S - '74 Alfa Spider Veloce Iniezione 2000
  • Ron and Shirley - 78 Fiat 124 Sport Spyder 1600

Of important note: The Fiat 124 was designed by none other than Tom Tjaarda!

Watch this space for links to the FIAT Culb pages. There will be some more visual treats, including an early 60's Cunningham - a Chrysler Powered cobra-type car with 8x Webers. This car is one of 7 in existence!

Actually, the car we saw was the C-4R (Continuation Car #1 - 3rd of the series). I believe there were only 7 of the cars ever produced.

This car was actually driven by the following drivers during the development phase (in 1994 - 1997):

    Phil Walters
    John Fitch
    Denise McCluggage

It waqs a real head-turner. We were busy wine-tasting, and the car pulled up, and it pretty much emptied out the winery! Everyone wanted to see it.

Here's a link to the web page to the ORIGINAL Cunningham cars:

Here's a link to the web page to the Cunningham continuation cars, with pictures of the ACTUAL car we saw in Sonoita (scroll down through the picture section):

    More ACTUAL pix to follow.

It does have the 331 Chrysler engine in it.
