I was driving through Orlando a few years back and there was yellow and black cat cutting through traffic.... I was up in deals gap for a motorcycle meet and as soon as I pulled up to the motel a red cat roared by... I chased a guy down w/a dead cat on a trailer... That's it, the only random cats I have seen.
Where I grew up they were a common sight. I grew up in the city where Peyton L/M was located, the highest volume Pantera dealer, the dealer Peter Revson was financially involved with, and where POCA got its start. Bill Stroppe's shop on Signal Hill in Long Beach was 15 minutes away. The Ford Speed Shops I hung out at, like Ron Miller's place (Ford Power Parts), always had Pantera customers coming & going.

Today, George Walker, Doug & I all live within a few miles of each other. There's a white one I used to see cruising Main Street, haven't seen him in a while, owner unknown.
I saw like 30 or more of the damn things heading down I10 in Phoenix last week Big Grin That is one of the best parts of the Fun Rally for me, its gives me goosebumps every time and the look on regular folks faces is priceless.

No excuse for people living in AZ, CA and Vegas not to be there! Hint hint Robert...

I have to second Julian's comment.

We were driving back from Canyon Lake with about 25 Panteras, and twisting down the windy roads from Tortilla Flat, or blasting down the 202 with 5-10 cars in formation, was just awesome.

Lets see if I have a picture....

PS. That's an Intermechanica Italia in front of me (more "Italian Style, with Detroit Muscle").

PSS> Julian - That's you in front. It may be "Squeaky Clean" behind you.

I get a kick "spotting" my own Pantera when the wife drives it. I can't resist watching it go up the street when she takes off and watching for it when she calls me on the cell to say that she is on her way home from a "girls cruise". We live near enough to the highway that I can often hear it go by...even when I can't see it!
