Fantastic! Wagner seems to take it easy at the beginning, checking out everyone else (which is a safe and smart way to avoid a lot of expense!) and then after a few laps he can turn it on as needed and get by almost everyone except the hi end Porsches.

It's surprising how well prepared Erlich's old cat is. He sure puts out a strong performance.

Thanks for sharing these!
Good to see the '74 Capri RS at :32 kicking some but. In the day, it left the BMW 5.0CSi's in the dust as part of the Euro Group 5 racing series back then.

My first NEW car was a 1974 Capri MkI 2.8 (Built in Deutchland). It was a great ride. Owned it for 17 years. Drove it every day. Ultimately, getting parts became a problem. When I bought it at Gateway Lincoln Mercury, it was sitting right beside a '74 Pantera ... But that is another story ....

4 speed manual transmission was the order of the day. 5 speeds were for the "exotics".
