Hey all,

Merry Christmas!

I received this book as a present today. It is PANTERAS FOR THE ROAD THE HALL PANTERA EDITION.

It is an original print and in great condition. It is also signed by the author, Henry Rasmussen.

I remember my dad had this book when I was a kid, it wasn't the Hall pantera edition, though.

I believe these have been out of print for many, many years. Am I right? Also, are these "HALL PANTERA EDITION" versions rare?

Thanks!

I have two of these, but I don't believe either one is a Hall edition.

One I recevied with my Pantera when I purchased it. It is hardback and embossed only on the spine of the book. There is a 59th birthday dedication written inside the cover, dated Sept. 5, 1986 but it is not from Henry Rasmussen. I can't actually read the signature (kinda like I can't read my own). This copy has a little bit of water staining on the jacket cover and the hard cover.

The second one I have, I picked up at a local used book store purely by chance. (I wasn't really looking and was just browsing while waiting for Shelley). This one has a fully embossed cover with "The Survivors" and a 3/4 view of a Pantera from the drivers rear. This could possibly be a Hall edition, I don't know for sure. This one is signed on the inside cover by Henry Rasmussen, and dated 12/10/82. Found inside the book was a copy of a newspaper or magazine article about the book by Innes Ireland. This copy is in fantastic shape, darn near brand new. I got it for $30.
