Attention Pantera owners and Ford fans,
The Shelby Car Association of Texas (SCAT) will host its annual "Texas Nationals" on October 5 - 7, 2001. The event includes:
* A track time at the Motorsports Ranch
(http://www.motorsportranch.com/) on Friday and Saturday, October 5 and 6, 2001. You can have lots of fun or just drive quickly
around the track in the "touring category" to learn a bit about your car. Dennis Quella has brought his car before and won awards for his track performance.
*A Saturday night banquet at the Arlington Hilton; Shelby has been there most years but due to his health attendance is always questionable. Previous speakers have included drivers George Folmer and Bob Johnson.
* A car show at the Arlington Hilton on Sunday, October 7. The show is for Ford powered vehicles and participants range from Panteras to Model T's to Cougars, Tigers, Cobras and Ford pickups.
The event benefits the Shelby Children's Foundation.
