I think that design beautifully captures the original Pantera's essence. It would be an unmistakable retro interpretation of our classic exotic. It translates very well into the modern era.

Make mine a targa, and I WILL do what I have to to get one new!

I agree. What a great concept. Really nailed the spirit IMO. My ONLY comment on the car is the landing strip turn signals in front. Not digging it.

A great place to start from, the rear 3/4's of the car are spot on!!!

I'm with Cyboman. Although I would like them to put back the flip up headlamps.

Noooo, pop up headlights are the one thing about my car that I don't like.

From an aesthetic standpoint, I think the original Pantera looks pretty perfect but this new design study looks like it might be even more perfect.

Not easily.

You will have to click and view each image, and then do a cropped screen capture for each image.

I checked with my in-house tech guy - my 23 year old son, and he can't find any shortcuts either.

When you click on the picture to enlarge it you'll momentarily see a rotating circle in the middle of the picture. Place your cursor on this circle and when the picture is loaded (the rotating circle disappears) and you can right click to save it or use the action box in the upper left corner. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks for the suggestion, Larry. I tried Dan's method first because it sounded a bit easier and it worked like a charm! Thanks.

If I had a ridiculous amount of money I would have bought the deTomaso name, bought this design, and put it into limited production. (Or at least made one for myself!)

I agree with Kerry the original does look pretty perfect and this study did a much better job of retroing than the camero or the challenger. I prefer the popup headlights also...

Here's the shortcut, if you're a Firefox user. Get and install the following Firefox extensions/add-ons:
1. Save Images https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3404
2. DownloadThemAll https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/201

Once on the gallery page, go to the Firefox Tools menu and select the 'open ALL image links in 1 tab' sub-menu under 'Save Images.'

Once all the images open in one tab, you can save each one, or then select 'DownloadThemAll! Tools' from the Tools menu and it will automatically download all the images to the directory you specify.

That's about the only 'new' car that would - to me - compare to the Ford GT for looks. I love it.

KhanSmith - the 'landing strip headlight' comment is hilarious.

I normally intensely dislike those things (Audi R8 for example) but I must say, the 'new' Pantera concept is the best.
