That particular one is all over GT40s.com threads and unfortunately a couple of people have been had already. If it looks too good to be true, it usually is....

I have a -2 ZF for sale, a guy has been paying piecemeal for one I sold 18 months ago and time has come to move it. We agreed time has come to remarket it, asking $6K firm, it has been previously rebuilt by RBT.

Ron McCall has a boatload of spares, I'm betting you'll end up paying less for this stuff stateside even when you figure in shipping. If one of us is willing to collect everything together we could probably get everything crated for a single shipment.

The windscreen should be readily available in the UK. Are you in touch with any of the other UK owners? Roger Brotton has a restoration shop up in Yorkshire.

At that price, it's definitely a scam. It's like the guys advertising a $15k Harley for $3500. People actually fall for it.

I've looked at that gearbox myself. If you look around the same guy has 100's of k worth of exotic engines and gearboxes for sale in aberdeen, dundee, and London. I had a couple of local guys off retrorides offer to go take a looksee. Everything went quiet. I now have a windscreen- shipped in from Finland. And I think yes, most other stuff will be coming from the states eventually.
