I don't have any pictures I would consider "good" pictures, I haven't purchased a digital camera yet, always have to borrow one, but here's a side view in the driveway.

Unrestored (survivor), originally silver, repainted silver by the previous owner, 17" Etoile wheels, Wilwood brakes, Koni shocks, adjustable upper control arms at all 4 corners, Amerisport split L bumpers & mini-spoiler, I just pre-paid for Amerisport's new quad, low profile headlights. Haven't found any rust, 64,000 miles.

Well George very nice,I looked at the other post where most have posted their cars and all I can say is WOW ! And have notice that as far as engine knowledge and pantera knowledge you have help quite a few out on the club site !Keep up the good work ............

How in heck were you able to keep overspray off the walls and garage door??? Inquireing minds needs to know.

Ever notice how fast the "view count" increases on these picture posts?

People like looking at each others cars.

To some degree it's a mystery to me too. The walls are actually painted with the epoxy floor paint which helps. The ceiling is also painted with the epoxy floor paint and there is a drain in the middle. This allows me to hose down the walls from time to tme. The only problem is the drain (despite the low spot of about 1.5' diameter at the drain) is the highest part in the room. I have to squege the water to the drain thanks to my concrete guys. A pitha really.


The paint actuall sticks to the top of everything; top of wood work, door jambs, etc. I have almost no circulation except box fan (when a/c ducts closed). I have a respirator which pumps in air from another room (awsome device if you paint!). Floor is a mess but that's what it's there for. I will probably paint the floor with something to keep it from dusting up next time I paint. I may keep a car in there from time to time but that room was dedicated as a pint room. I do not work on them in there.

Also keep in mind you are looking at 2 different rooms. The MG is on the roto in the "paint" room and on the dolly in the car-work room.

Wow. To have a dedicated paint room. I thought I was selfish getting my Pantera it's very own garage. Thanks Gary, next time my wife complains on how we bought this house just for the Pantera, I will drop your little bit of info on her and she will feel lucky.

It's all about life choices. I was lucky enough to find some land in a very rural area. I had a pole barn built. You would be suprised how cheap those can be. I finished the inside myself, 4 work rooms, a room on the end for the tractor and yard stuff, small bedroom and small bathroom. We lived in it for about a month while we built the house:

My wife used to complain that I have waaaaay took much room in that silly barn. She bought out a ceramic shop. 1200molds, 3 kilns ($2,000 if that aint cheap for a full blown hobby I don't know what is). I gave her the room I was going to put my woodworking, machineing, sanding stuff in. I told her she could have the room on one condition. She stopped making issue with the size of my "silly" barn. I have not heard a word since. Now we both spend evenings and weekends working on projects in the barn.

I was going to compliment you on your fine work on the cars, but now that I see your garage, I am even more impressed! It looks like you've got enough room to park and work on a dozen cars. Wow. You're my new role model! Oh, nice work on the cars, by the way.

That is an inspirational story. You are a very wise man as well as a fine craftsman. It is a rare man indeed who understands the ways of wives.

Actually I am lucky to have her!

Right there with you. My wife let me quit my job and become a stay at home daddy. She also let me build a 1000 sf. shop on our rural property and put in a spray booth and DuPont mixing system and turn my job in to a hobby. "Lucky to have her!" is an understatement!

Now I don't know about that part "craftsman". I am working on my barn plumbing AGAIN (ALL DAY and maybe tomorrow too!). I have had to repair it several times from freezing. When they built my barn and poored the concrete they plumbed the water line right behind where i was going to put the shower. I have had problems ever since. Today I run the water line in under the concrete inside the wall and got all plumbing out of the outside walls. That included moving the shower controls to the other wall.

What a PITA!

Craftsman? More determined than craftsman. If you do something enough times you will eventually get it right! My moto, measure 2x, do it wrong anyway, try it 3 more times then do it right! It's just a neandrathaw (sp) education really!

Comp, I wish I was there with you. I grew up on MGB. I have owned 5. The last one I flared the fenders, added a stainless rollbar, 215 ci Olds Aluminum block backed up with a Pontiac 5 speed, the shift pattern was like the P car. It all went through a chevy rear 10 bolt that I had narrowd. I lost my textile job about 8 years ago. I built a shop at my home with a paint booth for my own cars. I have turned it into a full time job. Think about this...NAFTA china.. My textile carrer is G>O>N>E> But no matter the economy...people are going to crash cars...insuranse companies are going to pay, and they have all the money anyway. You can't get a paint job from China, it will be done localy. People will not give up their cars. To tell the truth, I glad my textile job is gone. I am lucky too, to have an understanding wife that is quite good with home renovation, as we have some rentals that need regular attention. { her job}

What is it you do now? Paint cars? Are you in China now?
