The tires on my car are fairly new 225/50 on 8" wide 15" rims and 305/50 on 10" wide 15" rims.

I would like to purchase an extra set of tires for the future and I am not very knowledgeable on the subject.

If I cannot find replacement tires in these exact sizes, would someone please tell me if it is acceptable and safe to use another, more available tire size that would fit on these rims? If so, what size(s) would look best from an aesthetic standpoint?

TIA

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your response. I previously did look through some posts on the subject and these tires seem to be currently made out of "unobtainium".

There seems to be a thought that some manufacturer might make a run of these size tires sometime in the future if demand warrants it and the production run is financially
attractive.

For that reason, I am also curious if an alternate tire size can be safely fitted to my narrow body car.

TIA.

Hi Garth,

I have ordered a set of Toyo tires in these sizes and specifications. The 295/50-15's were a challenge to find. I was able to source the 225/50-15's locally.

Hi Garth,

Did you see the PM that I sent to you?
