I guess it depends on the enthusiast or collector.  I've seen other brands like Shelby's being restored from little more than a serial number.  There are still guys there discussing the Playboy Shelby and also looking for Jim Morrison's car. I will say though just as old Carroll did himself, their enthusiasts really promote the brand. Pantera's still remain behind in that facet.

I think there is still significance in what the car was, and although it is nothing of its former self, I am glad that it has survived and has not been lost or crushed.

We have service records for many years on that car. It just sold a couple months ago. Guy Anderson owned it in Atlanta, 2nd owner may he RIP. He is the first to have it painted, said he couldn't be caught driving a pink car. A week later it wore a heavy metallic dark blue Acrylic Enamel. It's still present in fuse area, carpet area, back panel overspray. He wrote a bit about it in Autoweek Magazine, back in the day, along with other Pantera related articles. Great guy that Guy :-)

In 2018 we were close to busting it apart & going back pink.

Back in '18 we were inches away from busting that car apart & going back cutting in original panels original interior then painting it pink. Sooooo close. But say-la-vee as the French say. We abandoned that idea.
