Has anyone purchased u-joints for stock half-shafts from Powertrain Industries? They list part number 4151-32 as a Pantera u-joint. Is it the "real deal" or some cobbled-up sleeved joint?
The Powertrain Industries Pantera u-joints have cups that are the correct diameter to fit Pantera half-shafts; however, the crosses are a few "thou" longer than OEM DeTomaso u-joints. To compensate, Powertrain supply their u-joints with snap rings that are a few "thou" thinner than normal. I've heard that these u-joints are from a '70's 2WD Toyota pickup driveshaft but I don't know this for certain. Dave
