I'm putting new hydraulic roller lifters in my MME engine with a cam with a profile from hell. Should I prime them, I've read both pros and cons? The rest of the engine has just run so pushrods etc are oiled.
Well, I've read that a full lifter will fluid lock so they can't be properly adjusted, and if you try, you might bend a push rod. Sounds a bit far fetched to me, but that's why I ask this forum.
Just got the lifters. Instructions say to lube O.D. of lifter and wheel, nothing about priming. Will follow instructions and let the engine oil them inside.
