I have very serious doubts that anyone other than Gumby or Mr. Gadget would be able to sit inside that car without breaking leg bones.
Take a look at the position of the lower front corner of the door, notably how it moves rearward but still remains above the door sill.

Yeah, talk about difficult to get in and out of! Looks like only a child would fit through that door opening!
Here is a much better project. Someone could bring this back to it's lovely lime green and, completely stock condition. What an oportunity!
