I am installing Kirk Evans bulkhead reduction kit in my 74 and ran into a problem with the belts he supplied. The issue is that the crank to water pump belt is too long and the next size down from Napa is also too long. And you guessed it the size under that too short, so short that if I force it on it will surely eat the water pump bearing in no time.
I spoke to Kirk and he thought maybe my pulleys were odd or the center spacing on my Edelbrock water pump was different so I pose the question.
What are the measurements of your crank and water pump pulleys (O.D.) and what is their center distance (C/C)?
Here is what I have:
Crank pulley 5-1/2"
Water Pump pulley 5-1/2"
C/C 6-15/16"
Thanks,
Steve
