Richard Lihou of Australia has a six speed Quaife in his Pantera. Its featured in the spring 2002 issue of Pantera International (#110). Laslo did the story.

I'm not sure which model Quaife it is, I don't think the ZFQ was available in 2002. What's kinda cool, the Quaife is a sequential shifter, and is stout enough to shift without the clutch (behind a 700 bhp motor no less).

The text in the Quaife website is wrong on that part.

Yup, I knew that to be the case as of several years ago. I lost interest in it and was just checking if that was still the case due to a post I made on a different forum. In referring to the GT40 forum thread below, it's always amusing to me when someone suggests I need to check my facts and not post hearsay and then turns around and posts hearsay and/or something they merely read on a website.

-Just fact checking. Near as I can tell nothing has changed at Quaife on ZFQ then when I stopped listening several years ago. I have nothing against the ZFQ but just dont think has earned any fanfair as I remark in the thread below.

Sorry to differ, but the Quaife 62G (ZFQ) definately IS or at least Was available in Pantera fitment, though they have to special order the Crown and Pinion to suit. I enquired last year and they advised it would be a lead time of 10/12 weeks due to that element of the build.

The factory is only a few miles from me and I have to say it's a pretty impressive place.

Cost of the box at that time was £9K if memory serves me correctly.

Kind regards

Andy

The original post was asking if anyone actually had one in their Pantera not if they have heard they are available. In 2011 (maybe late 2010) I called Quaife and they said at that time they had not sold one and were not intending to pursue it....but that was several years ago and your comment is more recent. Do you have one in your car or actually know of a car that does? Y/N?

Best,
K
