Ooooooo....

I like that paint scheme.

I probably have that record too, huh? I didn't think to look in the "registry".

I've seen a picture of Dennis' interior, it looks factory. Doesn't look like a conversion. Unless it was a Euro GTS, ahhhh, that's probably it. Excuse me, I'm just thinking while I'm typing. Mush for brains cowboys do that ya know.

Come on Dennis, what's the history of your ride? How's the sis in law? Does she like cowboys?
George:

#9159 is the only late model Pantera with a two tone paint scheme that I can recall, off-hand (I have the mush-for-brains problem too, and I'm not even a cowboy). I'd be curious to know whether it is factory.

Note in this second picture of what is reportedly the same car, the paint job and wing are different. The hood and deck lid have been painted red, and the wing is an extra-wide one with PI Motorsports written on the end plates. I also have photos of this car with three different license plates! Either Mr. Miller has fickle tastes or there is more than one car here...

If anybody knows Mr. Miller or speaks German and would be willing to do a little translating, please let me know because it would be nice to have more information about this unusual Pantera.

And, yes, I promise to stop hijacking this thread.

Hi George
My Car is #5159
It is a GT5 conversion, it was performed by Detomaso Australia in the early 80's.
Exterior and interior were converted completely to GT5 spec, brakes as well.
My sister in law is actually going to be over there next month for a friends wedding.
She is going to San Fransicsco, I told her to drop by and say hello...
but when I looked on the map your a bit far!

Dennis

A factory conversion eh? That would explain it Dennis. She's a beauty.

Your going to have to explain this Lamborghini fling to me one of these days.

Tell your sis in law this old cowboy knows the bay area like the business end of a saddle. I know of an executive suite in Novato fit for a queen. Big Grin

All my love to you & your family mate, hope all is well.

Cheers
