We have an old pantera that was originally meant for racing. my father bought a while back and id say its been sitting in the garage for about 13 years. its a 73/74 parts from both years with racing parts also. made to run with leaded gas it has a 351w which has a maximum out put of 430 horse. everything pretty much racing. i would like to restore it but it would cost a lot of money. since i do believe its a german transmission we dont have anyone we know that can rebuild it for us. we would like to get it running and isured so we can drive it around. not too worried about emissions since they dont check emissions around here only thing we are worried about is the leaded gas and noise polution. we also have these magnessium racing wheels that are huge and i was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to get huge street tires. im not quite sure of the size off these but ill re post soon. no chance of talking to the guy we bought it off of because he is dead. we bought it off this guy that raced panteras somewhere in michigan. well he lost control an went under a guardrail. soo we are kind of up sh*t creek with out a paddle.

anyone with any suggestions please reply back.

For the ZF trans overhaul, try a message to Roy Butfoy on P.I's ZF bulletin board here. There are no street tires that will fit these real racing mags since they should be 10x 15" frt and 13x 15" rear. I know a couple (darn few!) of guys with these wheels on Panteras that run Indy-car racing rain tires. They are illegal on all public streets but to the non-enthusiast, they kind of look like huge street tires.... Figure on spending BIG bucks to get this thing street legal anywhere in the US, though. Good luck....
