Racing seats or re-upholster stock seats

I was in your position  about a month ago,so I pulled the original seats out to be sorted at a later date, and ordered the cobra classic gt 3 seats. I like the looks of them,and are comfortable enough,  but having a fixed back makes getting perfect a little hard,so, I am going to order a set from corbeau,and see if they fit me better.i will post pics of the cobra seats, and will probably  be putting them up for sale if anyone is interested.

That’s what I did … original seats with new custom foam and Italian leather…

because the car is so low and you really don’t step out of the car … rather roll out of it - I didn’t want the high bolsters on the sides…

they making getting in and out rather difficult! At least for me…!

Yes, and it comes with a removable steering wheel… Which is necessary…

it’s not easy to get in and out of David’s car…

I think the Ferrari F355 Spider seats look great in the Pantera!  Definitely more modern, but classy, without that cheesy aftermarket tuner parts catalog look.

I have thinking about some cobra nogaro or the le mans classics.

i also like the ferrari 348 spider seats. And the seats in my 2002 TA are very comfortable too.

I have the cobra nogaros in my Aston Martin V8 Vantage and like them a lot. What’s the most special about Cobra is the amount of customization you can do. They sourced the actual same bridge of Weir leather that  goes to Aston Martin for my seats and matched the stitching perfectly. Looks fully OEM. The only negative is that they are fixed back like Lanes complaint above.

The Cobra Nogaros are 91cm high (36”), I doubt that can fit in the Pantera unless you have lowered floors or drop sliders.

im thinking about some Braum seats that are 36 inch tall but doubt they fit…

Spitfire 1500 driver seat on the passengers side…. Recovered to look like a Pantera seat…

Gives you 6” of extra room for an inner console, and the narrower seat clears the bulkhead hump.

Of course you can also use TVR Vixen seat buckets, or Maserati Bora seats..

These are really well done…

Got fresh pics of both WillD (former car) and DavidB's car seats. These are both OE factory seats that re-covered (head rest,  air blader and bolsters added for  more comfort.

Not every upholstery shop is capable of such a seat transformation. If you are considering going this route, contact DavidB and find out who did his. Shipping seats is much less expensive than disappointment.

I took a stock Pantera seats and added some metal bolster and seat support to it, see below.
