I really want to do something with my 50 years old stock seats in my 74 Pantera. I know there is a lot of threads on the forum with Fiero, C4 or old Recaro seats. I’m debating if I should find modern racing seats from one of the big companies that are small enough to fit the Pantera or get the stock ones re-upholstered with new foam and leather.

Has anyone had luck with re-upholstering the stock seats to a more modern look with suede/colored stitchings etc. or know of any modern racing seats that are small Enough for a good fit?

I’m not a fan of the stock look so just re-upholstering to stock spec is not what I’m after.

thanks! 😊

I was in your position  about a month ago,so I pulled the original seats out to be sorted at a later date, and ordered the cobra classic gt 3 seats. I like the looks of them, and are comfortable enough,  but having a fixed back makes getting perfect a little hard,so, I am going to order a set from corbeau, and see if they fit me better.i will post pics of the cobra seats, and will probably  be putting them up for sale if anyone is interested.

David Berman who is on his 3rd Pantera has recently completed an amazing custom car.  Unveiling is on October 5th. He has reupholstered the original seats with new foam and modern fabric and updated design.  See Pantera Bestia

I have the cobra nogaros in my Aston Martin V8 Vantage and like them a lot. What’s the most special about Cobra is the amount of customization you can do. They sourced the actual same bridge of Weir leather that  goes to Aston Martin for my seats and matched the stitching perfectly. Looks fully OEM. The only negative is that they are fixed back like Lanes complaint above.
