Valentine One is the ONLY way to go. That said, I don't want to make the investment if pulse (instant-on) radar will eventually spoil the party
Yup, instant on can get you - 106 MPH coming in from the track event.
However, that Valentine WILL notice that instant on when the officer hits the car running a mile or so ahead of you.
You then throttle down until the arrows tell you the threat is gone. Driving to the PCNC meetings - 153 miles for me - I often get a red arrow blip ahead of me. Pitch dark on the way home, can't see a door emblem at all - but I do know when the CHP on the other side of the divided highway passes me because I have the increasing LED level gauge and the arrows tell me of his approach and passing.
The trick is to always have a set of tail lights in view if you are pushing the limits. Hopefully, the cop is blipping him and giving you YOUR warning.
Valentine - worth every penny. Saved me multiple times.
By the way, I tapped a permanent 12VDC cord into a circuit and ran it up and across in the windshield molding. I just leave a ten inch tail sticking out above the passenger sun visor. No curly cord dangling down, and I tuck the cable behind the visor when parked.
