Well I had to break down and buy a new cap for the swiril tank. I thought about pounding the old one flat but my time is valuable so I just went to advanced auto and plopped down the big bucks for a new one. In case someone else has to replace one and don't mind shelling out $4.88, it is Advanced Auto , Stant part no. 11228. No it isn't a direct replacement in that it is only 7 PSI instead of ten or whatever, but it seems to work ok and best of all it don't leak. Sometimes it is worth paying a little extra to get something that works without a bunch of dickin around.
