Radiator swap

The Phoenix radiator is basically TWO radiators ganged together, so its much thicker than the Fluidyne unit. Fluidyne makes a specific radiator for the Pantera, available as a drop-in from all the Pantera parts vendors. In addition, consider using a different A/C condenser than the stock unit, which is quite bulky. My own system uses an aluminum condenser from a mid-80s Toyota pickup truck and is only 1-1/2" thick with the same length & width. The combination of the thinner Fluidyne radiator and the Toyota condenser lays down just fine using stock fasteners. You may need to do some metal-moving up front (I used a small hydraulic jack and a ball-peen hammer) but I assure you, the work is minimal, and the weight savings over your present system will be on the order of 40 lbs, with as-good or better performance in cooling engine and driver!
