I would love to....I am heading to Westport on Sat. (L. Champlain) to spend a night on a friend's boat. My step daughter lives down the street from your office. I plan to visit her new appartment....I will give you a call when my plans are straightened out. Thanks and love to meet some of the other owners!

The arm that slides over the splines on the shaft coming out of the bell housing broke. While I had it off the car figured I would put a new slave in as well.
I should give credit to PI Motorsports, who had the parts I needed and sent them UPS overnight air (at my request). This is a situation where the vendors show their true value. Thanks PI.
I leave BC Friday. Wish me luck. Roll Eyes

Micheal, Thanks for the well wishes!

Tim, I'm pretty sure it probably started with my 2 hour line up at the border. I think the broken piece started as a small hairline crack and slowely got worse and worse. When it finally broke, that was it for dis-engaging the clutch. Easy fix once I got the parts.
I really enjoyed meeting all the North West pantera people. What a great bunch. I had a terrific time both Saturday and Sunday. If I can swing it, I will certainly come again next year. A big HI back to all the Pantera's NW people. Hope to see you again next year.
I made it home to Calgary with no further problems! It sure is fun to drive this thing through the mountains!

FWIW, that slave cylinder bellcrank lever is cast steel and will not take much side-thrust without cracking, such as sometimes happens when a new clutch is installed and the thickness of the disc forces one to readjust the bellcrank lever by a spline or two. Prying sideways to remove the lever or slave cylinder shaft will usually snap this part. This can also happen while trying to install a long-throw slave cylinder with some clutches.
Boss is the Boss!
The dowel pin that connects the "bellcrank lever" to the slave cylinder rod lost one of the retaining clips and had started to work its way out. This would have put enormous sideways pressure on the lever and is undoubtedly what caused it to crack. Check those clips often or better yet, drill the dowel for cotter pins.
