Coz,

By teh looks go it the rdye turned out really nice, I'm envious... and quite taken with the tan interiors, lightens up and modernizes the whole feel of the car. The 70's all black look tends to be overpowering.

Those aren't original GT5 seats are they?
Thanks Guys.
When I have a little time this week, I have to resize all the pictures I took during the process of redoing it. I'll then post a photo album from the start to the finish.

Between opening a new Bowling Pro Shop May 1st and getting it ready, Working my regular job and doing Adler's apartment building tile, I'm lucky to have anytime at all right now. But at least I'm driving my car everyday about 100 miles worth and loving every mile of it :-)

Anyway, I dis-assembled everyhing. Dash, Gauges, Switches, Wiring to everything, Moldings, Console, Door Panels, etc....

I stripped off the black interior paint I had put on (major mistake putting it on), I had considering changing the interior to black so I tried it. Anyway, 3 gallons of Laq. thinner and 3 days later I had all the black interior paint removed.

Sanded everything down, resprayed dye into it, 2 coats and then a coat of sealer. Still working on conditioning it. It will take several more coats of conditioner to really be finished.

Took off all the black on the bevels on the gauges down to the brass and then clear coated them as well.

The seats are the Huntsackers I had in the car before, they were black then. I sent them out and had them cut down in area's and then recovered to match the rest of the interior.

The harnesses have always been there. But I have also added the submarine belts to the floor board.

This is the orginal factory color of the interior and I'm much happier now that it's done and I didn't change it over to black. I'm very satisfied with it considering this interior is the original interior (Except for the Seats, Harness Bar & Harnesses) and 26 years old.

I'll get some pictures up later this week.
Thanks a bunch guys for the compliments. Appreciate it much.

Actually Jeff, from taking them in and out a few times, small area's of the black paint chipped off and I could see they were brass underneith.

So I took laq thinner and removed all the black coating. I like them much better brass and they go much better with the interior.

As for the speedo and tach bezels, I got paint to match the brass color and then painted and clear coated them.
I dunno who you are trying to fool coz, but that is not an original interior. Panteras never came with lazyboy recliners. You stole that stuff out of a lear jet or something. None of that stuff was availble back in the early seventies. Heck my gauges look like they was WWII bomber surplus. Original my behind. Maybe a "COZ SUPER FANCY RACER SHOP" original, but not factory original.
Graham sells the plugs for early and late model cars.

The are 17.00 for a set of 3. I got the late model type, mine being a 1980 car, and then painted them to match the interior.
