I converted my car's rear uprights to the double roller GT5S type bearings many years ago but I can't find the bearing part numbers for the bearings that I used. One of the bearings is a double roller type instead of the 1971 to 1974 Pantera single roller type. The bearing is a little wider than the stock bearing and required machining of the spacer, which was not a problem.

I didn't want to take the upright apart to get the bearing numbers and although the Timkin style bearing conversion is the best way to go, this set up has work very well for me for many years.

Has anyone done this type of conversion and do you have the bearing part numbers available? Someone wrote an article about this conversion for the POCA monthly news letter some time before 1999, but I can seem to find the article.

Thanks, after doing some research, I am not positive about the larger bearing being a double roller angular contact bearing. I am also still looking for the POCA newsletter article that had the coversion information in it. I know it was published before 1999, but as luck with have it, I can't find the article or the bearing numbers that I used.
